Privacy

This notice explains how Sunday Puzzles handles information when you play, create an account or contact us.

Information stored on your device

Your browser stores puzzle progress, saved themes, difficulty and display preferences. This lets you return to an unfinished puzzle. You can clear this local copy in your browser or download a backup from the progress page.

Account storage

An account is optional. WordPress handles your username, email address, password hash and login session. When you sign in, our database stores your puzzle progress so you can continue on another device. We do not store your password in readable form. Account progress is kept until you delete it or request account deletion.

Hosting and access

The site and account database are hosted by Hostinger. The hosting service may process IP addresses, request details and security logs to deliver and protect the site. Browser progress is separate from these technical logs.

Advertising

We intend to fund Sunday Puzzles with Google AdSense. When advertising is activated, Google and its partners may use cookies or similar technologies to serve and measure ads, including ads based on previous visits to this or other websites. Where consent is required, the site’s consent controls provide choices before the relevant advertising technologies are used. You can revisit those choices through the privacy controls.

How Google uses advertising data

Advertising and analytics

We use Independent Analytics to measure page views, visitors, referring sites, countries, browsers and devices. The analytics reports are stored in our WordPress database. This analytics service does not use browser cookies. Approximate location is inferred from network information; it is not a request for your device's precise location. Contact form details and puzzle account data are handled separately as described in this notice.

Keep your progress

You can download or delete saved puzzle progress from the progress page. Clearing browser storage does not delete an account’s server copy. To ask for account deletion, correction or information about personal data, contact the publisher. Account deletion also removes the associated puzzle progress. Hosting backups may retain earlier copies until the host’s configured backup cycle expires.

Contact

Messages sent through our contact form are stored in a private WordPress inbox. They include your name, email address and message, so the publisher can answer. Contact messages are kept until no longer needed or you request deletion. The form uses a temporary hashed network identifier to limit spam; it does not publish your address.
