Find the words in the grid. You can stop and return whenever you like.

Playing on a phone or computer

Choose a word in the list. Tap or click its first letter in the grid, then its last letter. You can also drag between them. Your selection must follow a straight line. Found words change color in the grid and are crossed off the list.

Choose a difficulty

Relaxed has ten words in a 12-by-12 grid. Words read left to right or top to bottom. Classic has twelve words in a 14-by-14 grid, with diagonals and backwards words too. Each difficulty keeps its own progress.

Keyboard controls

Tab to the grid. Move with the arrow keys. Press Enter or Space to select a starting letter; move to the last letter and press again. Escape clears an unfinished selection. Tab moves out of the grid to the other controls.

Hints and reveals

“A hint” shows where an unfound word starts. “Reveal one” finds a whole word for you; your completion message records revealed words separately. “Start over” resets only the current puzzle and difficulty after confirmation.

Printing and saving a PDF

The print button prepares two pages: the puzzle and its answer key. In the print dialog, choose your printer or Save as PDF. Use portrait orientation, default scaling or Fit to page, and turn browser headers and footers off for a clean sheet.

Saved puzzles and progress

Progress saves on this device as you play. Sign in to keep an additional copy in your account, or download a backup from the progress page. Signing out keeps account progress on the server. Clearing browser data removes the local copy.

The daily and weekly selections

Daily puzzles change at midnight in New York. The weekly collection changes on Monday. If the page was already open across that time, refresh it to see the new selection.
